My name is Olivia DeMasi, and I was born and raised in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It’s a small town in Jacksonville that is known for their beautiful beaches and golf tournaments. Growing up I felt myself being drawn to the medical field. Any chance I got to go to a hospital, I would. I loved the smell of the hospital, the patient rooms, and watching nurses take care of their patients. I would watch in awe of this amazing career field and knew one day, I would be in their shoes. I know that it only takes such small things to make a huge difference in someone’s life. As a nurse, we get that opportunity more than most, in our very own career.

I am applying to be an O.R. nurse as this field has always been my biggest pulling factor of interest. I have had a fascination with O.R.'s and surgery from a very young age. I have met O.R. nurses going into my own surgery who were the sweetest and most caring strangers I had ever met. Their ability to calm me down in a scary situation drove me to want to become an O.R. nurse and do the same for someone else.

​

I have such a passion for impacting lives in a positive way and I hope to carry this into my career. I have had amazing clinical experience at a level one trauma center at Tampa General Hospital. This has given me a plethora of skills and knowledge to take into any clinical situation. My experience is on almost every floor of the hospital, including the O.R. I am a quick learner, passionate, and have integrity in my life and in my career. I hope you would consider me for this extraordinary chance to do what I love.
